Eyeroll, please

Yesterday, at Cera’s request, we stopped by our favorite Chinese restaurant for lunch. We placed our order and found a seat, but several rounds of “I Spy” and “Paper-Rock-Scissors” later, we still hadn’t been served. Anthony was content to keep playing the same games, but Cera was getting crankier by the minute.

“Why don’t we play the alphabet game?” I suggested. “We’ll look around the restaurant until we find things that start with A to Z.”

“I’ll go first.” I continued. “A for Anthony. Now you go, Cera.”

She looked at me, rolled her eyes and said, “B – (pause for dramatic effect) – for boring.”

Wow. Who replaced my fun-loving 6-year-old with a moody teenager? And when is she coming back?
