One proud Mama

reading

This is my soon-to-be first-grader, curled up on the couch, nose-deep in a chapter book.

Which she read in one sitting.

And not because she had to. She read it because she wanted to.

She reads everywhere now – in the car on the way to the grocery store, in the cart as we navigate through the grocery store, lying in her bed or stretched out on the living room floor. She just can’t get enough.

And this Mama couldn’t be more proud.

  1. Let me know when she’s ready for Nancy Drew. I have most of them.

  2. I think that is so totally wonderful! This is the beginning of a life-long love of reading. You are so lucky to have a little one you don’t have to force to read. That is just so cool! I just want to yell ‘yea’ from the rooftops. I wish there were more children in the world like Cera who loved to read.

  3. WOW, that is awesome!!! Nice job Mom teaching her how to love books. I hope Justin takes after his older cousin. It is amazing how much easier and how much more fun school is when they enjoy reading. I am so excited that she loves to read!!!
