Cera’s follow-up appointment with the ENT today went very well. Her surgical sites are healing nicely, and the doctor assured me that our concerns with her bad breath and voice (she’s talking through her nose instead of her mouth) are perfectly normal and that these are problems that will resolve themselves over the next few weeks.
And, most importantly, Cera finally passed a hearing test. You should have seen the smile on her face.
This means that in just a few hours, Cera will return to school for the first time since December 19th. She’s very excited to see her friends and teachers. And I’m excited to get back to a somewhat normal schedule. But I’m also really going to miss my little girl. I’ve gotten used to having her home over these past five weeks, and even though it hasn’t always been easy trying to entertain two kids, maintain a household (I’m really bad at that part) and work a part-time job, we’ve had a lot of fun, Cera, Ant and I.
I guess it’s time to start counting down the days until Cera’s next break. Hey, March 27th isn’t that far away.
