Cera has started coming up with a new story each day, which she replays in her head at night to help her fall asleep. She’s developed a whole movie analogy for the process, which ends at bedtime when she turns on “the movie projector in my head.”

I didn’t realize just how far she’d carried the film comparison until tonight when, with the lights off and the room silent, Cera suddenly burst out, “Ladies and gentlemen, please turn off your cell phones, and enjoy the show.”

Moments later, my little girl was sound asleep.
